SEAN MORRIS, piano instructor and music educator

I earned a master of music (M.Mus.) degree from Kent State University, teaching group piano classes on a graduate assistantship, and a bachelor of music (B.Mus.) degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I was awarded the 2010 division achievement award in piano pedagogy and organ/harpsichord, and selected as winner of the Clara Rolland piano competition and scholarship.

I was accepted into the Bösendorfer International Piano Academy in Vienna, Austria during the summer of 2007, enjoying scheduled visits to places significant in the development of western art music in Europe, and to the lives of influential composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, and Liszt.

It is my passion to pass on this musical heritage to young, developing musicians who are inheriting this rich tradition of keyboard playing.
